The most important such anthology, and the oldest, is known simply as The Book of Enoch, comprising over one hundred chapters. It still survives in its entirety (although only in the Ethiopic language) and forms an important source for the thought of Judaism in the last few centuries B.C.E. Significantly, the remnants of several almost complete copies of The Book of Enoch in Aramaic were found among the Dead Sea Scrolls, and it is clear that whoever collected the scrolls considered it a vitally important text. All but one of the five major components of the Ethiopic anthology have turned up among the scrolls. But even more intriguing is the fact that additional, previously unknown or little-known texts about Enoch were discovered at Qumran. The most important of these is The Book of Giants.

Filled with hallucinatory visions of heaven and hell, angels and devils, Enoch introduced concepts such as fallen angels, the appearance of a Messiah, Resurrection, a Final Judgement, and a Heavenly Kingdom on Earth. Interspersed with this material are quasi-scientific digressions on calendrical systems, geography, cosmology, astronomy, and meteorology.

Incredible images! And very scary facts!

I purchased this book last year (from a store merchant here in Amazon which have a library of books on ancient civilizations & their involvement in mysteries).
My grandfather had the original book way back in the early 1970's, which also at that time I saw an article printed in LIFE magazine which was a weekly journal (much like National Geographic). I have never forgotten those images and I was truly surprised to have found a printing press in these days reprinting the stories and images I saw way back then. Furthermore, the Scriptures supports the relevant information ... even to this day! (For example, we have well-learned scientists who are studying transhumanism (which is the study of how to perfect human beings with modified DNA coding. True story, in Turkey, a sheep gives birth to a lamb with a human face! Google the story [see for yourself].
Apparently, this is not the first of its kind. There are many true stories, but only if we just take the time to read and ponder with who we're residing on earth.
This book is recommended for all readers.
