Sexual Tension satisfaction!

Samantha Cayto is a brand new find for me. An author who also writes m/f erotica, and I have to say I’m liking her m/m books and writing style in general. I discovered Ms Cayto in passing, when I spotted an upcoming new release of hers, with a blurb that really spoke to me so I requested it to review ASAP. A darker, Sci Fi slave-fic I'll be reviewing—(watch this space!)—that I absolutely loved!

At the end of the story there was an excerpt of Man Candy that grabbed me, so I just had to go buy the book to finish it off!

The story features Brent, a jaded, thirty something war photographer who is recovering from an injury sustained during his last assignment, and 'Danny,' real name Alex; a gorgeous young stripper he first encounters dancing at a club, where one of his friends has taken him as a means to take his mind off his recent trauma. They have a hot 'moment' of sorts but as far a Brent is concerned, it’s just a one off meeting, so he leaves thinking it’s the last time he'll see the tempting young minx. A week later he encounters Danny/Alex again, working at his families candy store in Maine where he's staying while he recuperates, and of course the attraction that sparked at the club rears its head again and the story kicks off.

Brent is an experienced Dom but hasn't had time for a regular submissive in his life because of his dangerous, time consuming career, so when Alex comes into his life it's hard not to give in to the temptation of the sexy young guy, who shows signs of being a natural submissive...something that of course calls to his dominance. However, Alex is only twenty one and even though he strips to help himself through college, and he's fooled around a bit, he's actually a virgin and until he’s finished school is still dependent on his parents who have no idea that he's gay.

Alex is desperately attracted to the older man he wants to finally take his virginity, and when they do give in to their physical attraction, finds himself happily exploring the submissive side that Brent brings out in him during their heated sexual encounters. His new lover is all man, but he's also a caring Dom who takes time to gently coach him through the BDSM play they indulge in; gaining his trust immediately, but with Alex being deeply closeted, and Brent worrying about his next assignment and the age difference between them, a relationship beyond a bit of secretive sex isn't really a feasible option. Or is it?

I’m a sexual tension girl and Samantha Cayto kept a palpable feeling of ST throughout the book, which started in the opening chapter and kept going through to the finish, leaving me very satisfied on that front.

It's not a story that brings anything particularly new to the table but it's written in an easy, laid back way that I inhaled in one sitting because I really liked what I was reading. The D/s scenes are lightweight but steamy, with a nice touch of kink, consisting mainly of a little bondage, some lighter breath play and spanking, and has a sweetness to it that adds an emotional connection to their scenes together. So even if BDSM isn’t normally your thing, I don’t think it would be a problem.

I enjoyed this so much I went off and bought a couple more of her m/m contemporary's, requested another slave story to review for the blog, and will certainly be on the lookout for more releases from Ms Cayto in the future! Just one thing…the guys on the cover don’t bear any resemblance to the characters I pictured in my head…just saying… but a very enjoyable read nonetheless!

Gay Love Story in Coastal Maine

This is one of the most delightful books by Samantha. In this story, Brent who is a war photographer and a Dom has been talked into going to a male strip show where he becomes super attracted to a stripper whose stage name is Danny. Several months later, recovering from an injury, Brent plans to spend the summer in a small coastal town in Maine staying at a place that rents cabins on the water to gay men. In fact the entire town has become a magnet for gay men. While walking around the town, he spots a candy store where he sees Danny, although his real name is Alex and it is Alex's family's very successful business. Alex works there during the summer and is about to return at the end of the summer to college for his senior year. That night, Alex waits for Brent to come back to his cabin and tells him that he is a complete virgin and seriously wants Brent to teach him the gay sex that he wants but has had almost no experience with. While Alex is 21, Brent is reluctant to do so, but finally gives in. Over several weeks, Brent initiates Alex not only into gay sex, but also into light BDSM. It turns out that Alex is not only a fast learner but is also a perfect Sub. This is a truly wonderful love story; even those of you who dislike BDSM will enjoy it. Don't let it pass you by. Buy it, read it and experience a truly superb love story which is also extremely sexually stimulating.

A compendium of true stories surrounding feminism gone bad

What happens when women fighting for a voice in the Church turn away from the very things every Catholic holds to be true? Find out in this book! It may scandalize some people, but I'm afraid it's the truth. Donna Steichen has even said that radical feminists have tried to stop the circulation of this book but simply cannot because it's all documented! Steichen shows where radical feminism in the Church has taken us and it's not a pretty place. It truly is a collection of horror stories showing how things went awry. Recommended for anyone who wants to understand how things got to be so bad in women's religious communities and how true feminism in the Church was perverted.

The puzzle solved

As a Catholic in Nigeria, I have been baffled at how all my cousins who travelled to Europe and the United States to study first in "Catholic" high schools and then in "Catholic" Universities under the "watchful" gaze of hosts of religious have lost their faith. Talking to them about it even puzzled me more, because all of them without exception had had close dealings with priests and religious in their respective schools, people they had a lot of respect for. I found their ideas about the Church's teaching on faith and morals amazing for people who still claim to be Catholic (of course, Sunday Mass is a thing of the past). Amazing, because worse ideas couldn't have come from Jack Chick.
Donna Steichen has solved the puzzle for me in a way no-one else could. I understand only too well now what happened to all my cousins.
You need a tough stomach to finish the book, but when it comes to these issues, ignorance is not bliss. Ignorance could mean the death of a soul.

Update needed

When I first read this book, I was fascinated and horrified, but in the intervening years much has happened in the Catholic Church, and the generation of feminists about whom Ms Steichen writes is aging and dying. They have not been replaced, as far as I can tell; younger people with similar views simply leave the Church, and there is a new orthodoxy abroad.

If Ms Steichen were to produce an updated version, I would be one of the first to buy it. I would love to know what the current situation really is.

Amongst The Best

You cannot go wrong with Joseph Murphy's books. He is one of the best writers on showing how a person can turn their life around. He had great learning and understanding, which he wanted to share with the world to help end suffering and bring perfect happiness into the lives of people. It is clear he loved people, the world, and Life.
Especially needed and learned is his chapter on women and religion in volume three of this series of books. The meaning of 'woman/wife' and 'man/husband' in scriptures was never to be meant literally, but refers to the female and male aspects of every person, and is a scriptural lesson on how to 'control'/guide/direct yourself so that you can 'come out of bondage' to the life you are meant to have. (There are many other authors who have researched the symbolic/allegorical meanings of the scripture stories for those who are interested in this topic).

Change starts within and Joseph Murphy shows you how and tells you why you can bring the change you want in your life. It must start within yourself first before you will see it on the outside. It is all up to the individual; it always has been.
Joseph Murphy tells you that it's the world within, your thoughts, feelings, moods, imagination, that is creative; that inner world is the cause of the outer world of the senses, and you are the director/the one at the wheel.

It's up to you, always has been, and it's all good once you can see the truth, you can use Life negatively or positively, It's always acting on what you think (and therefore, direct). Life is there for you, all joy, all peace, is all there for you.

I have become a devoted follower of Dr. Joseph Murphy's wit and wisdom, keen insights, penetrating personal interviews. This book is yet another testament to his literary genius. Although I would have liked for the publication to have been released as Murphy wrote the essays, the editing seems very geniuine and does not disrupt the Murphy flow of expression. Feeling a bit low, discouraged, directionless--even fearful, nervous? This text will do more for your spiritual health than any drug or potion. A gem to own, a jewel in your crown.

Life Changing Material - Total Paradigm Shift

As the other reviews wrote; you can't go wrong with Dr. Joseph Murphy. This book is a short, easy to read, straight to the point - a top notch book that every people need in every area of their lives.

Reading, underlining and applying what I'm learning from this book makes me more calm, confident and free from fear. Because it is solid, life changing and paradigm shifting material which stood the test of time.

My Dr. Joseph Murphy collection grows with these series of books and I'm putting away stuff like Wayne Dyer, Eckhart Tolle, Tony Robbins etc. (those popular stuff never actually helping me) to my book cabinet - but keeping these books on my desk all the time, to read over and over - digest and internalize its material.

Along with Dr. Joseph Murphy, I highly recommend Claude Bristol, James Allen, Wallace Wattles, David Schwartz, George Clason, and Napoleon Hill to study and apply.

One smallest book from these classic authors equals to the 500-600 pages of popular Brian Tracy/Tony Robbins stuff and thousand times more helpful.

If it wasn't for my professor this book would have been burned! The end chapter exercises are barely about the chapter they are in and the examples are at least 4 pages long and very hard to follow! Don't use the beam tables in the back either, just look them up online!

A great book for budding scientists

This is another great book in the Let's Read and Find Out Science series. Younger children (like my son who was age 4 when we first began with this book) and older children (who are reading on their own) will be delighted and educated with this book. Whimsical illustrations demonstrate complex scientific information in a very approachable manner.

In this book children will learn overarching concepts of meteorolgy and actual scientific terminology in a progressive manner. Children will learn about:

1. Fronts (Cold and Warm) and their affect on weather.
2. How air pressure is determined and what happens in Low Pressure vs. High Pressure. They learn about barometers.
3. Wind speed and direction, including names of instruments (wind vane and anemometer).

The colorful illustrations and simple diagrams reinforce the infomration contained in the book and help children understand the basic concepts of a weather formation.

Diagrams include:

1. Fronts & Front Formations
2. Water Vapor
3. Weather Maps
4. High & Low Pressure Systems

Interesting and Vocabulary Builder

The books in this series explain things that kids need to know in a way they can understand. Young elementary kids (grade K-2) will learn from these as a read a loud and kids a little older (grade 3-5) would enjoy these as an independent read and vocabulary builder. You can easily plan a study unit around each of these books or use them as an addition to the curriculum you alread use. They can be read in one sitting without boring the child. The photos are a great plus and help hold the kids attention. This particular book has been our favorite since my daughter in interested in meterology. Good book- but for older kids

Purchased this for our kindergartener who loves the weather, and to fulfill a reading requirement at his school. While this book is great, it's pretty long and detailed for a 5-6 year old. Our son is too clever for us to skip over parts these days, so while this book won't become a favortie, it is full of good information that's easy to understand (I even learned a thing or two!) and while it's not "over the head" of a kindergartener, the length is.
